Dr. Brent VanderZyl, DPT

Physical Therapist

Brent graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2009 with a degree in Athletic Training. While working to attain his ATC degree, he worked with collegiate sports teams at UCF including baseball, tennis, crew and football. His senior year in the program was spent working spring football, summer camps, practices and games with the UCF football team. This degree opened other opportunities for him such as interning with the New York Jets football team, being a medical volunteer for an action sports tour and becoming the head athletic trainer for a soccer tournament organization. Brent’s success in this profession was shaped by his hard working nature and strong will to put in long hours to meet the needs of collegiate and professional athletes.

After graduating, he pursued his Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy at the University of North Florida and graduated in the Spring of 2013.

Through the years, Brent has worked to further his education and knowledge of various physical therapy treatments and techniques. He has taken the basic and advanced courses of the Maitland Manual Technique-Spine and peripheral extremity, the Maitland Technique-Mobilization and Stabilization Training, Kinesio Taping Technique Certification and LSVT Big Treatment for Parkinson’s Disease. Brent has also become certified in Graston Technique as well as Dry Needling.
